This is Saucy, our road pup, furbaby, and only child since our first furbaby Meaty passed away nearly 2 years ago (I can't believe it's been that long, the loss is still so raw). ⠀⠀
🐶
This little girl is everything to us. You could say we're slightly obsessed. Yes, we're those people who baby talk our dog and let her get away with EVERYTHING because... that face! How can you say no to it (at least with any real authority)?
🐶
Saucy has made it a point to live up to her name, often talking back to us or barking until she gets what she wants (she's extremely persistent!). We call her our Sour Patch kid because she'll be super feisty one minute and then licking our face off the next minute. Deep down, she's a little lover!
🐶
And despite the fact that she's only 7 pounds, she is obsessed with her tiny tennis balls (and this Dollar Store fox) and insists we throw them for her every chance she gets.
🐶
That's probably the one thing she doesn't like about RVing - there's not much room to throw her ball in the RV and not every place we stay at has fetch-worthy grass (she's extremely particular about her grass).
🐶
Tell us about your furbaby/ies!

I've always loved photography and taking photos, often taking entirely too many photos of the exact same thing (you can never take too many!). I even took photography classes back in art school and miss having a dark room to use.
📷
Up until this point, I've only used my iPhone to take photos of our travels. And truth be told, I still have an iPhone 6s Plus (hey, if it's not broke, don't fix it, right?). It gets the job done, and it's convenient, but sometimes the quality is lacking, especially in low light.
📷
I actually have an old Canon Rebel DSLR camera but never used it during our travels because it's just too bulky and awkward to carry/use/have handy while we're out hiking and on the go.
📷
Ideally, I'd like to have a camera that's compact, lightweight, not too technical, good with low light, and not going to break the bank but creates high-quality images. I'm trying to stay around $400-$600ish... is that even doable? Any suggestions? What camera (and any photo equipment) do you use? Share your photo secrets with me (pretty please)!
📷
I'm also considering getting more into videos in addition to better photos, so I'm wondering if a GoPro HERO7 Black would be a good option for both (obviously for videos, but what about for regular photography too?). Have you used one? What are your thoughts on using a GoPro HERO7 Black for just straight photography?
📷
If a GoPro HERO7 Black isn't a good option for still photography, what's a good compact, affordable point-and-shoot or mirrorless option? I think I may be leaning towards mirrorless. It seems to be the best of both worlds - more lightweight/compact than a DSLR but more options (i.e. lenses, video, flash, etc.) and perhaps better quality than a point-and-shoot. Thoughts?

Fog... It's one of the things I (Briana) miss most about living in California. Every once in a while we'll get some in the Denver area, and I relish every single foggy moment. What is it about the fog that entrances me? The eeriness. The mystery of not knowing what lies through it. My mom says I've always had a fascination with all things macabre. Even when I was a young child and still to this day, I am intensely intrigued by anything creepy - abandoned places, hauntings, ghost stories, horror movies, etc. This may explain why I'm obsessed with New Orleans and why my all-time favorite Disneyland ride has always been the Haunted Mansion. 👻 What strange obsessions do you have?

On average, how much time do you typically spend at each place you visit?
⏰
When we were full-time RVing, we only planned on being on the road for 6 months, but we were determined to travel through each of the Lower 48 States. We made it happen by usually only spending a few days max at each place. It was a whirlwind, and looking back, we wish we would have taken more time at many of the amazing places we visited.
⏰
Going forward, that’s our plan, but it’s hard not to get sidetracked when there’s so much to see and do in the U.S.! How do you prioritize and not get distracted by all the other places along the way?
